Affordable Real Estate Rental in Escazu

Finding affordable real estate rental in escazu is not an easy task if you are looking at a budget between $500.00 to $700 a month. Since Escazu is the mecca for foreigners looking for a place to call home away from home with all of the amenities of home the average rental price for real estate will be closer to $1000.00.

As my search for an affordable real estate rental in Escazu continues, I was lucky enough to meet up with Leo from http://www.ticorealty.com/. TicoRealty is a local Costa Rica Real Estate broker that caters to a variety of clients looking to either buy or rent real estate in Costa Rica. Nicely enough, whether the person is looking for an affordable place to rent or buy or luxurious real estate accomdation they can help you out.

This week, I visted about 15 different properties scattered throughout Escazu. At times, visiting these rental properties became quite tedious and made me want go give up my search for affordable yet quality rentals but in the end, I found a few properties that are worth some serious consideration.

Let´s start with the high yet affordable price rentals.

Leo took me to visit this beautiful townhome. The location was perfect since it was just a walk away from the Escazu Farmer´s market and downtown Escazu. A big plus for me since I currently do not own a car in Costa Rica!

The townhome comes with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and is unfurnished. This place would be perfect for a family but in my case, it was not the place for me.

I could use a 3 bedroom rental but 3.5 bath was just

too much.
On top of that, it dit not come furnished with appliances like oven, refrigerador, washing machine and dryer just to name a few items I do not wish to purchase right away.

The kitchen was very nice and clean and is noteworthy. This townhouse actually came with a

"tico Garden" which is basically a walled in backyard that is about 24x40 feet area.

Even though the rental price of $1,400 a month was bit above the priece I was lookg to pay for real estate in Costa Rica, I chose to take a look at anyways because if I find the perfect place and location in Escazu, I don´t mind paying a bit more to be able to live in a safe, comfortable and with easy access to downtown Escazu.

I visited about 8 more rental properties this week ranging from $1200 to $2,000 a month but none of them were special enough for me to pay that price.

Now let´s take a look at one affordable Real Estate Rental in Escazu that caught my attention.

This condo that I visisted is well within my price range, fully furnished with 24 hour security and a great view. Not only that but it also includes an actual "non-tico garden", a garage and a swimming pool that is shared amongst the residents.

This condo priced at $625 a month is a great bargain except for one thing.

Its not exactly close to downtown Escazu and is rather out of the way. If you own a car in Costa Rica, this would be a great choice.

One of the bedroom in this condo, was just exquiste. If you are a painter or love the sun, this bedroom is for you.
The furniture in the bedroom and throught the house was quaint. Not my style but some people may enjoy simple rustic looking furniture.

If I ever decide to buy a car in Costa Rica, I hope that this place will be available for rent. Until that time comes, I will have to look elsewhere.

I hope that you enjoyed this week´s resume of my search for the perfect real estate rental in Escazu, Costa Rica.
Since I have not had much luck in finding what I am looking for in Escazu, I was told that the Rohrmoser and the Sabana area are also very nice parts of San Jose that are actually neighbors of the Escazu area.
So next week, I have an appointment to visit some of these areas.
Until than I remain,

Escazu Real Estate Rental in Costa Rica

Escazu, Costa Rica is one of the top location in the Costa Rica, Central valley location for foreigners looking for real estate to live or for rental.

The popularity Escazu amongst western foreigners started out about 25 years ago. Foreigners became attracted to this town due its close proximety to San Jose and the cheap prices of real estate. Today, Escazu is a very modernized are of Costa Rica with all of the conveniences of developed country like the United States, the Uk or Canada.

The prices in terms of rentals vary greatly but rarely will one find anything under $500 a month. A very nice looking condominium gated community with playground and pool area will cost on the average around $1,000 but can vary in prices from $600 to $2,000 a month.

In my search for a rental place to live in until I can find a real estate proerty to to purchase I have come across a few possible suitable location for a period of one year.

So far, I have had the chance to visit three possible rental real estate place in Costa Rica in the price range for a price conscious person. The first two places are not even worth mentioning but the last one could be of interest.

It is a furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom condominum located close to Multiplaza, Escazu. The Multiplaza is the name of the shopping mall in Escazu which offers high end shops that sell their wares at "gringo" prices. In short, its the same as going to a shopping mall in the United States.

The listed price is $650 for a 1 year contract but it does also involve a $100 monthly condomnium fee. Another available option is to take a 6 month lease however, the rental price will go up to $750 per month and will still include the $100 monthly
condominium fee.

It includes 24 hour security, 2 parking spaces and ready for telephone hook ups.

The only drawback for me is that this Excazu Real Estate property for rent does not accept pets.

I have a few high end condominiums and apartments to visit Monday and I will keep everyone posted on how it went.

In the meanwhile, if there is a certain location you would like me to visit for you and take pictures of, just shoot me an e-mail with the location and contact information and I will post a blog report on it.

Until then,
